Living Endowment The AMBUCS Scholars- Scholarships for Therapists program represents the largest single private source of educational grants for therapists in the United States.  Since 1955, AMBUCS has provided over $6 million to educate physical and occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists and audiologists.  The Edmond club has been responsible for over $100,000 dollars being awarded to UCO.  The Edmond Scholarship Chairman is Cathy Williams White AMBUCS Scholars Program Information For over 50 years, National AMBUCS, Inc. has been awarding scholarships to therapy students in their junior/senior year in a bachelor¹s degree program, or a graduate program leading to a master¹s or doctoral degree. Awards range from $500 to $1,500 annually. There is one two-year award in the amount of $6,000. Approximately $150,000 is awarded annually. Award monies are deposited each semester to the student¹s credit account with the financial aid office of the educational institution. Students must be accepted in an accredited program by the appropriate health therapy profession authority in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, and hearing audiology. Assistant programs are not eligible. Awards are based on financial need, US citizenship, commitment to local community, demonstrated academic accomplishment, character for compassion and integrity, and career objectives. National AMBUCS, Inc. will accept applications from Mid-January until April 15 annually. *Note: students will not be notified of their semi-finalist status by mail, they must check the on-line listing. Final scholarships winners will be announced in late June. Chapters will be mailed the award certificates after awards are announced. *Information for program educators **Important application information** Paper applications are not accepted. The entire application is to be filled out online. Once a student completes the application, he or she should print a copy for his or her files.
